The Wallypop Essential Ring Sling is an excellent sling for the beginning babywearer. The Essential Ring Sling is compact and has a short learning curve. It is easily adjustable to many different wearers and many different wearing styles, as well as being easy to adjust on-the-fly for minute by minute changes in your or your baby's needs. Ring slings may be worn with baby laying down, sitting up facing you, sitting up facing out, sitting on your hip, or on your back.

Our slings are long enough to accommodate most body types and sizes. Women over size 18, men over size XL, and anyone who is concerned about fit should please email us. Generally speaking, the slings will fit through a women's size 22(ish), but with the great variation in body shapes, we'd rather be safe than sorry! We're happy to work with you to create a carrier that will fit, and there's never an extra charge for making a longer sling.

Add Pocket on Tail: A pocket will be sewn to the sling's tail. This pocket provides a handy place to stash some money or small items, and also serves as a storage bag for the wrap itself. A small carrying strap is included. Some slings will have a coordinating, rather than a matching, pocket. We will contact you to discuss.

I want to assure you that the rings used in Wallypop ring slings (and most other WAHM slings) are from Slingrings, and are NOT the same rings that Maya uses. Silk? Really?

How can you beat silk? Whether you've got a fancy event coming up, or you're just wanting to indulge yourself in a little luxury, Wallypop Silk Slings are a wonderful addition to your sling wardrobe!

Silk is so fun, and wonderfully adaptable. These slings look at home with your fancy evening wear, and equally as charming paired with jeans and a T-shirt. They are lightweight and very compact. But I think my favorite feature is the feel of the fabric - I'm a texture person, and the texture of silk is incomparable to any other fabric.

The most common questions we receive about our silk slings are:

1. Are they washable? Absolutely! All of our slings are machine washable.
2. Are they slippery and hard to keep tight? No. We use silk dupioni, which is kind of nubby. Additionally, we use small rings in the ring slings to minimize slippage.
3. Are they hot? Silk is actually insulating, so it makes a perfect choice for fall, winter, or spring. (Silk is a natural fabric, so it's breathable and will still be comfortable in the summer, but if you're primarily looking for a way to carry your baby in the heat, you might consider a cotton or solarveil sling instead.)

Please use common sense when using Wallypop slings and carriers. Keep a hand on your baby when bending, stooping, walking through a crowded area, etc. You can expect years of service from your Wallypop products, but take care to look over your slings and carriers before each use. Do not use your sling or carrier if the stitching has ripped or the straps are getting worn out. Limited wearing instructions are available here.
