Wallypop Repair Services

In addition to providing you with great WAHM-made products, Wallypop can help make the items you already own last longer! We can repair or even upgrade your current carriers to provide you with many more years of useful service.

What we can fix and Pricing:

  • Wearing, frayed, loosening, or popped seams: price varies with the extent of the damage. ($5-25)
  • Replace straps on carriers, whether you need longer straps, want them padded or unpadded, or are simply upgrading straps made of inferior quality fabric: $25, most styles and sizes.
  • Serging wearing off the edges of wraps or similar carriers: price varies with the extent of the damage. ($5-25)
  • Adding a pocket to a carrier: $5, most styles.
  • Replace rings in ring slings: $10 most styles.
  • Adjust sizing of pouches, wraps, ring slings, etc. (I can make them smaller or larger - making them larger will require adding panels.): $8-10 most styles.
  • Add a toy ring: $3 most styles.
  • Other repairs or replacements that I just haven't thought of: price varies depending on your need!

So how does this work?

  1. Please email or call and describe the damage you need to have repaired. Photographs are always good, but not required. Knowing the brand name of the carrier is good, too.
  2. I will get back to you with a quote. (I may be unable to quote some items without a picture.)
  3. We'll agree on the charges and the repair work to be completed.
  4. You bring the sling by if you live in the area, or mail them if you don't.
  5. You send payment for the cost of the repair and return postage and I get to work.
  6. When the repairs are completed, I will send your items back to you for many more years of enjoyment.

Please Note: ALWAYS check first with the manufacturer of your items. Many manufacturers - including Wallypop - offer guarantees on their items if they are defective, and many smaller manufacturers may be willing to work with you to complete repairs or adjustments. Before you pay me to fix them for you, make sure you can't get the same service for free from the original manufacturer! Just a tip.

Another tip: Before doing something like replacing the (cheaply made) straps on a new Mei Tai carrier, consider simply returning the carrier and purchasing a better quality one. I think you'll be happier in the long run!
