Wallypop brand care instructions

Basic Slings and Carriers: Wash with your normal laundry. (May wash on hot if desired, though cool will usually yield the same results with less energy used.) Drying in dryer is fine.

Deluxe and Silk Carriers: These can be washed and dried with regular laundry, but they will generally look better for longer if washed on delicate and dried flat or hanging.

Solarveil: Solarveil is washed/dried with regular laundry. It does dry really fast, so hanging to dry is also a practical option.

Bali Baby Stretch Wrap:

The first time you wash your Bali Baby Stretch wrap, please wash separately from other clothes.  Although the fabrics are boiled after the batiking process is complete and the dyes are set, occasionally some unbonded dye remains in the fabric fibers.  You do not need to “set” the dye – you only need to rinse out the excess.  This is especially likely if your wrap is a deep color such as turquoise or red.  To clean the excess dye from your wrap, simply rinse in warm water several times until the water runs clear.  You may wish to add salt to the water in order to speed this process.

Our Bali Baby Stretch wraps are made of knit cotton jersey that becomes stretched out during the batiking process.  This is what gives the wraps their unique stretch properties, but it can also leave them a bit “flat” sometimes.  The Gypsy Mama finds that machine washing them in warm (not hot!) water and machine-drying on medium heat can help “plump” them a bit.  They can of course be hand-washed and hung to dry as well.

If you decide to machine-wash your Bali Baby Stretch wrap, use a gentle setting and a mild detergent.  If your machine is a top-loading machine with an agitator, secure your wrap in a pillowcase or mesh sweater bag before washing.  This will keep the fabric from wrapping tightly around the agitator and becoming strained, which would cause premature wear or even damage in your fabric.  If you are machine drying, do so separately from other clothing to avoid tangling.

Patapum Carriers: Machine wash cold. Air Dry.
