Wallypop Onbuhimo
The Wallypop Onbuhimo Carrier is a great carrier for older babies and toddlers. It is a simple carrier that allows a baby to be worn front or back. An onbuhimo is a post-war Japanese carrier. It is very similar to a Mai Tai but instead of both shoulder and waist straps, it has shoulder straps and a pair of rings at the waist. The straps go over the wearer's shoulders, then through the rings, as you can see in the photos. Our straps are long enough to accommodate most body types and sizes. Women over size 18, men over size XL, and anyone who is concerned about fit should please email us. Chances are, the carrier will fit, but we'd rather be safe than sorry! We're happy to work with you to create a carrier that will fit, and there's never an extra charge for making longer straps.

A Podegi is an Korean-style carrier. Traditionally, a Podegi is made from heavy quilted fabrics, but Wallypop Podegis omit the batting and quilting, to make a lighter weight yet still supportive carrier. The Wallypop Podegi is comfortable and easy to wear. It has a more limited range of carrying positions than a wrap, but is easier to use. Because the body of the carrier drapes over you and baby, Podegi carriers tend to be warmer, as well, and are perfect for spring and fall. We also make a narrow body Podegi carrier that's a modern twist on this classic carrier. It's much cooler and many parents find it easier to use than the traditional Podegi. The standard strap length will fit most mamas and daddies, up to about a size 22 or XXL. If you are concerned about the fit of your carrier, please email us and we'll be happy to work with you.

Please use common sense when using Wallypop slings and carriers. Keep a hand on your baby when bending, stooping, walking through a crowded area, etc. You can expect years of service from your Wallypop products, but take care to look over your slings and carriers before each use. Do not use your sling or carrier if the stitching has ripped or the straps are getting worn out. Limited wearing instructions are available here. Wallypop cannot be responsible for misuse, breeches of common sense, or any injuries that may result from the use of our slings.
